So you can call your business whatever you like unless it is a name that has been taken and then just use your personal bank account to deposit your funds. You also don't have to register a business name unless you want to create a sole proprietorship, partnership or corporation. In Canada I don't think you would have any town or municipality that would veto a home business.Īs stated before, in Canada you have to put a method of customers to track you down in case of a problem, Health Canada does accept a website address so post office boxes are not required, unlike in Europe where you have to put a physical address on your labels. They don't have to post a change of use unless you are going to have customers coming to your home which creates traffic issues. Even in a large city like Calgary, the business license is not that expensive. I've been thinking about your comment Kadryann and I have to say that starting a home based business is usually not all that complicated or expensive. You might wanna put the 200$ forward and incorporate your name, as it becomes an entity, and if anything happens, your personal name is safe, and when I mean anything it goes from lawsuits, to bankruptcy. You can also incorporate it or trademark it. You can register your name in court (10 years ago it was 100$ for registration and 27$ yearly) I don't know if the price has changed, but that doesn't protect you and it is not a trademark, but the name belongs to you (only in Canada). etc etc.įor your business address, I know that a while ago it was possible to have business mailboxes, so you could put that on your label. Some towns will ask you to advertise, some others prohibit advertising on your own lawn. Certain town don't allow you to have small home businesses (go figure). You might have to register with your municipality for a small home business yes, for that you need to call your town hall. Most OTC benzoyl peroxide is 5% or 10% and those are too drying for most people the 2.5% works just as well but without being so harsh on skin.Starting a small business can be a real headache, especially from home. I've tried almost everything under the sun including prescription pills/face products and over the counter and what works best for me is 2.5% benzoyl peroxide (I get mine from ). It's in many skincare/face products but it makes me breakout in big lumps. Peanuts, cashews, and regular whole cow's milk make me breakout badly so I avoid those. I realized years ago that it wasn't primarily hormones (I'm a woman) causing my acne but diet. I love Oil of Olay Age Defying Daily Renewal Cream. Oily skin does generally still need a moisturizer too so don't skip that step. Don't use harsh scrubs but instead use more mild exfoliation (something like a wash with beads in it like Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit facial scrub) and only use once a day or 3-4 times per week if you have sensitive skin. Oily skin should only be washed twice a day as overwashing will dry your skin and cause it to overcompensate by producing more oil. FYI, not really soap related, but there are many causes for acne including diet, hormones, and hygiene. I have very oily skin but I can keep it mostly under control and only rarely will a pimple get through.
